Have you'll still not received the first stimulus check? The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) began depositing stimulus payments for millions of Americans a few days of April 13. If you have not yet received your payment and believe you are eligible, it isn't past too far. You've until October 15th to get your check.

If you're still waiting, here are some things you can do once you check up on the status of the Economic Impact Payment on the IRS online tool, “Get My Payment.”

Adding direct deposit information

If your “Get My Payment” results show “Need more information”, this means you may be eligible for an Economic Impact Payment (“EIP”), however the IRS doesn't have your direct deposit information to send your payment electronically. You will then have the opportunity to include your bank account information for direct deposit. If you choose not to provide your bank information or prefer to receive your EIP by mail, your payment will be delivered to the address the IRS is wearing file for you.

Changing banking account information

If your “Get My Payment” results indicate your payment is pending or continues to be processed, you cannot improve your bank account information.

According towards the IRS, “Get My Payment” cannot update direct deposit bank account information after an EIP continues to be scheduled for delivery. To help protect against potential fraud, the tool also doesn't allow you to change your direct deposit bank account information already on file with the IRS.

However, if you did not use direct deposit for the last taxes to get reimbursement, or perhaps your direct deposit information was inaccurate and led to reimbursement check, you will be able to supply that information through this portal to hurry your payment having a deposit into your bank account.

If you get your refund or federal payments on the debit card

Did you accidentally throw your debit card away? Some may have mistakenly thrown out the credit card thinking it was junk mail because it arrived in an ordinary envelope. The IRS has stated that if you receive benefit payments through Direct Express, you can expect to call at your stimulus payment within the same fashion. If you are using the Emerald Card, get more information at more information. If you use a NetSpend Card, NetSpend says “The IRS plans to deposit your Economic Impact Payment into the same account you would normally receive your federal benefits.”

If you do not file taxes

On April 10, the government announced the discharge of an online tax return tool that non-filers may use to assist receive their stimulus checks faster. If you are worried about having your payment since you do not file taxes, please visit the government site. You only need to complete the shape if you haven't already filed whether 2021 or 2021 tax return.
